Internet Marketing Resources

March 15, 2010

Here is a handful of resources to pull from for internet marketing. If you have any questions about this list, please [intlink id="71" type="page"]contact[/intlink]me.

Email Marketing

Aweber: This is the best tool to use for your email marketing. I have compared this against GetResponse, 1ShoppingCart, ConstantContact, MailChimp, FeedBlitz, and more, and Aweber beats them hands down. Create an unlimited number of lists, choose to turn confirmed opt-in on or off, create web forms, pop-overs, pop-ups and light boxes, and integrate your list with just about ANY shopping cart, membership software or affiliate software in the known Internet world. :)

Payment Processor

Paypal: Most affiliate programs pay via Paypal, so if you plan to monetize your blog, you should probably set up a Paypal account. Additionally, Paypal is still the most widely used merchant payment system, because it’s so easy to set up. You can easily integrate Paypal with Aweber, so you’ll be able build your list if you sell your product on your blog with Paypal.

Internet Marketing Advice & Tools

John Paul Aguiar: Information on how to monetize your blog, as well as social media advice. John Paul is also the author of Twitter Dummy, which is the ebook I used for my [intlink id="199" type="post"]Twitter Experiment[/intlink]. I highly recommend that book to develop a good system for using Twitter to attract visitors to your blog.

Michelle MacPhearson: Michelle is an internet marketer and SEO guru. Michelle offers a FREE report called Social Media Daily, which I very highly recommend for anyone who wants to promote their blog well. That guide is jam-packed with info that she really should be charging for! ;-) I also experienced Michelle’s 30 Minute Backlinks system while helping a client set it up after he purchased it (and guess what? That program works). She’s got tons of incredibly valuable information on her blog, as well as a membership programyou can join if you are really serious about making money online. Plus, she’s just super-chill. I highly recommend following her blog.

MaxBlogPress: MaxBlogPress is where I first discovered John Paul Aguiar, mentioned above. MaxBlogPress publishes a blog that contains some of the most useful internet marketing tools available, and you should subscribe to their email updates (I do). MaxBlogPress also develops useful free and premium WordPress plugins. It’s a site worth checking out.
