20 Aug 2010 – Several weeks back I did an unconventional blogger Follow Friday post that was very enjoyable, so I decided to do it again (ahhh, endorphins).
This time, I am throwing in the term our circle because if you’ve been watching closely and paying attention to who’s blogging and who’s commenting, you’ll start to seen an ever-growing circle emerge. It morphs, of course, and changes, and will continue to grow, but it is a circle nonetheless.
I appreciate everyone who reads this blog so much and hope to continue to be useful, motivational, and supportive. If I left anyone out, it was definitely not intentional – just leave a comment so I can remember next time! Have a great weekend, everybody!
Follow Friday: 13 Posts to re-read, bookmark, and share on Twitter if you haven’t already. Pay it forward, people!

- Back To Your Roots: When does catering to your readers become detrimental to your intentions as a blogger? Wayne Howard brings up some good points based on the Become a Better Listener post. I like this one, because it’s sometimes very easy for people to write about things that get a lot of comments, like social media and SEO, even though that has nothing to do with their blog or target readers. Ya dig?
- Is the iPad Good for Blogging? What do you think? Kristi breaks it down by posting links to some positive and negative reviews of iPad and asks for your opinion, too.
- Blogger Tools that Every Blogger Needs to Use: From the list, I’d say BlogGrader.com was the standout tool to me. I’ve used it now and love it. You will, too.
- Will a Popup Increase Mailing List Subscription Rates? Everyone is using Popup Domination, it seems. Does it work? Justin sheds some light.
SEO
- When Is #1 Google Ranking Yours to Lose? When you’ve got a sucky domain name, that’s when. Ana’s guest post over at Famous Bloggers gives some good advice regarding how to choose a domain worthy of search engine attention.
Making Money
- The Ultimate Guide for Making Money Online: I like Kathy’s post since she bases her guidance on common sense and long-term thinking. You’ll find no get-rich quick gimmicky talk here.
A Little Something Different
- Food Giveaway: Win a Glee Gum Candy Kit! from Gera over at SweetsFoods.com. If I said I wanted to win this for my (2 year old) son, well, I’d be lying. Even while writing this, my mouth is watering for candy now.
- What’s Eating Your Paycheck? I’m not sure, but if you figure it out, please let me know. Really nifty infographic. Thanks, Laura!
