On Tuesday, Marlee & I get to experience one of the industry’s largest and best conferences… Blogworld. I’m expecting to have a great time. Marlee is staying for Tuesday & Wednesday, and I am only staying for Tuesday. I will certainly keep you up to speed with pics and all of that, so be sure to become a fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter so you can get glimpses of the action.
However… it’s going to rain. A lot. I’ve gotten so spoiled living in Tucson. We get a thunderstorm or two… per year. 
It’s fitting that my first trip without my son is going to be a rainy one, right?
Blogworld in the Fashion Capital of USA
I suppose Paris or Milan or even Tokyo could arguably steal the title of Fashion Capital of the World, but we here in the good old USA have New York to thank for our fashion sense.
Heck, even the Beach Boys said so in California Girls… “the East Coast girls are hip; I really dig those styles they wear…” (they were talking about NYC, in case you didn’t know).

In light of Blogworld being held in such a stylish location, the first Blogworld post here on bizchickblogs will be dedicated to fashion and will incorporate Polyvore - the fashion blogger’s secret weapon to creating awesome looks.
What Would Fergie Wear to Blogworld NYC?
I can always find an excuse to spend time on Polyvore, so I was inspired to put together looks that I most definitely will not be wearing at Blogworld NYC but that perhaps Fergie would. You know, if she were going.

I hope you are all having a great time at Blogworld and that you get to wear one of these fantastic outfits. Now I have the urge to go out and purchase some new shoes, much like the one’s featured in outfit #3.
I do enjoy your outfit details, they help give me new ideas for putting my own pieces together. I find that with a little new inspiration I can rework what I have as I tend to get rather habitual with how things get put together.
I am the same way. I love Polyvore because it makes me just a little more fashion-conscious. I’m not naturally, so I have to look at the way other people put things together in order to do it right! Glad you like them.
Yes, I had a great time hanging out with Marlee & everyone else I met. Now, if I could just get out of NYC! Major flight issues due to the midwest storms. However, I am blessed because I’d rather be stuck in an airport than have to deal with what is happening in the tornado region right now.
I hope you have arrived home safely and that no more tornado type storms roll through anywhere.
I don’t know if anyone else does this, I have a style book that I put together and keep in my dressing area. It is very simple and consists of clear sheet protectors in a binder. I cut and paste photos of outfits I like on plain 8×10 paper then slide them into the sheet protectors. The format is very much like what you do here for your layouts, it works great and reminds me of items I own and how to use them best in the season.
Seeing Fergie’s style of dress on her previous engagements like awards night, my vote would go to the first one.
Fergie at Blogworld. That could definitely make it a little more interesting.
Have fun in NYC! If the rain they’re supposed to be getting is like what we’re experiencing in MA, it’s mainly intermittent. So, don’t be surprised if you see the sun too. Of course, you’ll be inside most of the time. I can’t wait to hear what you learn!

It is nice to hear about fashion and trends here, as where ever I go it is business and business trends.
Where as, as females we do need to talk about fashion to stay alive. What I mean is it it the charm for our living. Let us know more about it after you are back from NY.
