The Pioneer Woman & I could be sisters

September 19, 2011 · 11 comments

So I’m not sure if you have heard but The Pioneer Woman has a new Food Network show.

It started a few weeks ago and I’m not 100% sure how I feel about it. I certainly identify with Ree on so many levels. I think she and I could be sisters actually.

She lives in Oklahoma, I live in Texas (both in the South). She has red hair, I have blond (both not brunettes). She has 4 children, I have 3 (whatever). She home-schools her children, my children go to school (spooky, right?) She loves to cook & eat, so do I!!

Finally, she has a Charlie & Walter.

I have a Cooper & Scrappy.

Are you feeling me? We could be sisters!

As I have been taping and watching the shows I have thought of a few things I would like to ask Ree Drummond, if I ever got the chance.  As a writer, blogger, wife & mom also I have to wonder how on earth does she do it all? I mean really! She makes it look so easy, all with her gorgeous red hair and peasant flowing blouses. I’m kinda getting a complex as a woman here. So, here are the questions I would ask her.

1. Is that your real hair color?

2. Do you have any help with the house and kids?

3. How often do you bathe Charlie & Walter?

4. Do you write & blog on a schedule or just whenever the mood strikes?

5. Have you ever NOT used your cast iron skillet?

I think that pretty much covers it. If anyone knows Ree personally, pass along my post and maybe we can all finally get a good nights rest.

Until next time~

@LeighAnnTorres LOL Yeah the PW makes me feel a little inadequate, too.

Have you seen that movie, “I don’t know how she does it?” Hmm. Speaking of, maybe I should do a giveaway for 2 tix to see that movie… what do you guys think? @C_Linnell @KludgyMom

Sisters? You two may as well be twins! I haven’t caught the show yet, but I know enough to feel inadequate. ;) How do women like her get it all done??? Do they ever sleep???

@C_Linnell Girl, you can have your own cooking show NOW – YouTube!!!! :) Then you could be living the Bieber dream but with a Pioneer Woman twist. LOL

Tia, my hubby even watched it with me and enjoyed it. That speaks volumes. He mentioned he thought she was pretty darn down to earth. I have to agree. I’m gonna keep watching and keep dreaming that one day I too can have my own cooking show. Ha! @Tia Peterson

Christina, I was laughing the whole way through this. :) Too cute.

I’ll have to watch the show. I was using it as an example to all my non-blogger connections that blogging can lead to stardom.

But given my last two posts on Food Network Chefs, I wonder which she would fall into – someone I hate or someone I love. I think as long as her personality is not over the top, she could make the love list.
