Happy Thanksgiving!

Today, I am celebrating Thanksgiving with my son, my mother, and my brother (and the two dogs). I am feeling so blessed today to be able to be with family and to be preparing (er, watching my mom prepare) a big meal in her new home. I am also feeling blessed to be part of such a great community of readers here at bizchickblogs.com.
My Gratitude List
November has been a challenging month on all levels – physically, emotionally, and intellectually. It is also the last month of my son’s third year – I am just hoping it is the dark before the dawn thing with him. You know there’s no such thing as terrible two’s right? It’s terrible three’s!
It’s Gratitude month, and I’ve been away from the blog and out surviving life, and really, I’ve forgotten to revisit a gratitude list daily. But the month isn’t over, and it’s never too late to be grateful. Here is my gratitude list. If you publish or have published one on your own blog, let me know and I will link to your gratitude lists from this post!
There is no real priority to this list; I’m grateful for everything in equal amounts.
1. Good health: A cold here and a flu there is nothing. I’m so grateful that I have my health. Without it, I couldn’t be the mom I needed to be, or work, or be a help to family or friends.
2. Family & Friends: Without family, I just wouldn’t be who I am. I have thought about life without them, and I can’t fathom it. Nothing is forever and even family can be taken from us, but I am so grateful for mine today. All of this applies to my friends as well. They make me, me. And I cherish them because they can’t be replaced or recreated. And it normally goes without saying, but I am always grateful to God for His saving grace and unbelievable amount of patience with me.
3. Work/Income: Thank God for income, right!? No complaints here today. I’m so grateful for the income that helps me provide for my son and I.
4. Talent & Ability: I’m grateful for what I have been given. I know that I did not give myself talents; it’s my responsibility to hone them and refine them, but I did not put them inside myself. So I owe gratitude to my Creator who saw fit to delegate certain talents and abilities to me.
If the list seems short, consider this: all of those things are the basic foundations to so much else in life. I am keeping the list short and simple so I can remember that without certain things, nothing else would be possible.
Updates
I will be getting back to blogging regularly again next week. And the badges for the 2011 Top Chick Blogger and Top Women’s Blog are complete, so it’s just a matter of putting the post together. I’m very excited for that. I love you all and appreciate your readership more than you can know!

Hi Tia,
You are one of my favorite bloggers. I am grateful to have a wonderful blogger friend.
Times are tough, but you’ve reminded me to be thankful for the little things.
Many blessings, Tia!

Tia,
Times are tough and there are times I feel sorry for myself and forget all the wonderful things I DO have to be grateful for. Thank you for reminding me.
~Allie
We love you too Tia!
