mobile entrepreneurMobile web tools are important for busy entrepreneurs because they help you stay connected, even when you’re out of the office. If you travel a lot, mobile web tools are even more important because you may not have an internet connection for your computer on a regular basis.

MightyMeeting

MightyMeeting is a mobile app that allows you to upload videos for sales pitches or presentations using cloud technology so that you can pull them up on your smartphone, tablet or computer with ease and speed no matter where you are. MightyMeeting.com is a free app that works for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, as well as Android compatible tablets.

LinkedIn

If you already use LinkedIn on your computer, you need to download the free mobile app right away. Offering the same features that allow you to easily network with like-minded colleagues and look for new employees or clients, LinkedIn mobile is a must-have tool for on-the-go entrepreneurs that want to grow their business.

DoubleDutch

DoubleDutch offers a suite of apps, and their most popular is a mobile conference app. Designed to help businesses and entrepreneurs create better presentations for conferences when they can’t be present, DoubleDutch is an essential tool for anybody that needs to create world-class presentations even when they’re on the go.

Flight Track Pro

Flight Track Pro is a mobile app that allows users to track the arrival of their flights from anywhere in the world with real-time monitoring of delays, cancellations and gate changes. Flight Track Pro also allows you to link your e-mail to the app so you can automatically update your itinerary through the app. Flight Track Pro even offers maps of some major airports as well as nearby accommodations and amenities in some cities, which can definitely come in handy if you’re running late for a flight and don’t know where to catch a cab or shuttle.

OmniFocus

OmniFocus is a powerful app that lets users set their daily agenda, complete with reminders organized by task, importance, context and location, allowing you to plan your day as efficiently as possible. OmniFocus offers a few different levels of the app, ranging from $19.99 to $39.99. The $39.99 version has more features, but the $19.99 version will work well for most entrepreneurs that don’t need to sync the app to more than one mobile device.

Gas Cubby

For entrepreneurs that spend a lot of time in their car, Gas Cubby is a mobile app that can really be useful. Gas Cubby works by tracking mileage and gas costs and making charts that show you how you can change your patterns to save money and reduce wear and tear on your car. Gas Cubby also lets you know when it’s time for routine services like oil changes and tire rotations.

These are just a few of the mobile apps that can help entrepreneurs. Check your smartphone or tablets app store for more tools that fit your specific needs.

I already use most of these, but the Gas Cubby is one that I will have to get. I currently have 3 auto detail vans on the road daily and that is the hardest thing to track and monitor.

Thanks!

I found there is not much need for anything beyond normal Android apps plus Evernote. However I’m more into design and less into frequent meetings…

Surprisingly as I travel often I hadn’t heard of flight track. The app is just what I need and they have a free version which works well for my budget.

Amanda:

That is an awesome list of entrepreneurial apps for the Iphone, I definitely am going to check some of them out for my Iphone. I am specifically interested in DoubleDutch and MightyMeeting. The business I work for is a software reseller and I think that MightyMeeting would be very valuable to demo the software’s features on a smart phone.
