I’m back.

October 4, 2012

in happiness.

I'm back.

It’s been a long time coming, but I think I finally found my way back to bizchickblogs.com and its roots. In the 2 1/2 (nearly three) years that this blog has been running, it has experienced some amazing ups and downs. It has been profitable, popular, fun, frustrating, and even dangerous (ask me about our malware incidents sometime).

At the heart of any successful blog is a blog owner who loves the blog passionately and with abandon. Yes, there are some really successful “websites with articles” that make tons of money and get tons of traffic and pass as “blogs” but we all know they are not blogs. They are not blogs at the heart.

bizchickblogs was walking dangerously close to that line, and even tiptoed over the line a few times. You know you’re there when you are seriously questioning whether you should even continue with your blog – even when it’s making money. When your blog just becomes a money-making vehicle for you, and you get nothing from it, and it’s become more a burden than a creative outlet – run.

Nearly a year ago, I began working full time in finance operations for what I consider the very best company in the world. Before that, I was self-employed for nearly three years. I had lots of time to run a great blog and make friends online and build enviable social media followings. I never imagined that working in a corporate environment again would change all that, but it did.

For the better.

It just took awhile for me to see that. So once I finally did see it, it was just a matter of starting over. Traditionally, spring is associated with fresh starts, but I am going to make autumn the new beginning for bizchickblogs, and for communicating with other women and men who value growing, succeeding, pursuing happiness, and leaving a legacy in every aspect of their lives.

I thank you for sticking with this blog all this time and encourage you to subscribe and join me on this journey. I am looking forward to it.

Blessings!

your old reader but I am also back after long time, so now welcome back … after that, blogging experience is very hard and needs patient what learn about… days and months are nothing but years…

Nica, Tia. Welcome back. I was on my own hiatus business wise for quite awhile, but I was working a full-time job all along. It got crazier with more responsibilities as of this past May, but interestingly enough a major project we were working on for the business came to completion so the noise get even noisier. Good thing I thrive in chaos!

So I hear you, lady. Can’t wait to read more about it.

I’ll keep this short and sweet: Welcome back, Tia! I’ve missed seeing your posts show up in my reader. :)

Good to hear Tia!

I read lot’s of small business blogs that are so faceless if you know what i mean, it’s nice to see you taking the time and caring so much. Look forward to reading more!

Tia Peterson October 4, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Awww, thanks, James. We’ll see where this new direction takes bizchickblogs.

I feel really special that I’m like the one comment on your blog’s one post that is spectacularly old. Wow. You better approve it!

Great to see you back, Tia. Blogging is a journey of sorts. When it starts to get in the way of strictly for profit, blogging sorta loses its charm and ventures into that place where it consumes you. Consumes the people around you and for what? I can dig what you are saying. You have a great heart, Tia. I sensed that from the very beginning. Stay gold and its good to have you back.

Tia Peterson October 4, 2012 at 1:23 pm

Hey there!! :) Long time, no speak. It’s definitely a journey but I’m glad that this journey isn’t over yet. And I’m really glad to connect with you again. Thank you!

Sounds like life is being… life. I know I said it on the other post but I’ll say it again… so glad you are back; your post are inspiring and thought provoking. I can only imagine what you were dealing with. I struggle some days on continuing my blog but the difference is, mine makes zero dollars. All in all I am really glad you are back and I am looking forward to more great posts.

Tia Peterson October 4, 2012 at 1:21 pm

Thanks, Joe. I really appreciate all that you contribute to the conversation. :)

I actually just started my blog. I’d like to earn from it one day, but more than that I’d want to call it mine. If earning means I have to surrender my own vision for my blog, then I’d rather not earn. I write because I enjoy it and I hope others get to enjoy what I have to say. (Though hitting two birds with one stone ain’t bad either… so let’s just see where this goes. :)

Tia Peterson October 4, 2012 at 1:21 pm

I think that’s the right attitude to have. I really do. I’m looking forward to connecting more. Thanks for your comment!
