Welcome to my little corner of BizChickBlogs. My name is Christina. I have always dreamed of being a writer, little did I know that in my late thirties I would get the chance. The more I wrote random thoughts and snapshots about life, the more I heard from complete strangers that they could relate to my writings. Basic observations about what was going on in my own life resonated with so many. This is all I needed to hear and my new career was born!
I am creator and author behind A Closet Writer. A look into everyday life through dirty, child-smeared, fingerprint laden windows. I am a wife, mom, sister, daughter, Christian, & humorist living it up in Central Texas. Regardless of what is actually going on, I am a GLASS HALF FULL kind of gal. When you read this blog & my others I pray you will laugh, smile, feel hope & come back again and again. Wash, rinse, & repeat that’s all I’m saying!
I am a jack-of-all-trades if you will. I have a sales & marketing background but one day decided to leave “Corporate America” behind. I figured a change was not big enough; it needed to be a TOTAL change. So, I quit my job with a Fortune 500 Financial service company and became an Administrative Assistant for the Youth Minister of our church. Whoa Nelly! I know, I told ya! That was over 12 years ago and I would not trade it for the world! Since that time, I discovered my love for children & the guiding of their parents. I was a pre-k teacher for 5 years & during that time worked as a professional volunteer for a non-profit called, MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers). In 2010, I retired from MOPS after a ten-year service.
This year I will be launching a brand new web site, but it’s all top secret for now. Stay tuned!
